Your caterer can probably make a more kid friendly plate of food that will cost a lot less than what you will be serving to your adult guests.

Although your wedding invitation is the first glimpse into your wedding and you want it to be a beautiful introduction to your guests – you can save some money by enclosing a self addressed stamped postcard as a return reply. Traditionally, a card and envelope are provided for your guests to RSVP, but you can save quite a lot in postage alone by creating a nice reply postcard and it works just as well. Another tip to keep track of your RSVP's -- put a code of some sort on the RSVP, such as a number or a letter, and make a corresponding list. If a guest RSVP's put forgets to sign the card you will still have an accurate record of your guests.
FLOWERS
Flowers are beautiful and can be an expensive part of your wedding. If you have someone you know that has a lovely garden ask for their help. Another great money saving idea for your centerpieces is to go to your local home improvement store and spend some time in the garden department. Depending on the time of the year there will be a large selection of fresh flowering plant to choose from. Choose some of your favorite flowers and plants that match your color and theme. You can then make beautiful centerpiece displays by simply spray painting the plastic pot with gold, silver, or whatever color works for your theme. Add glitter or other items to the pots if you would like. Then, depending on the size centerpieces you need group the smaller pots together to make a beautiful larger display. When the reception is over your guests can choose from your beautiful displays or take them home and plant them !!

The time of year you get married can make a big difference in the cost of your vendors. If you live in a cold weather climate you and want a winter wedding negotiate pricing with your vendors. Wedding and other special events are generally slow in the winter months and vendors may be more than willing to work within your budget to get your business. Check with the facility or hall you are renting to see if a certain time of day may be less expensive than another. Certainly an evening rental or reservation could be more expensive than to have your reception during a slow time of day for the facility.
