2008 WEDDING TRENDS
GREEN - GREEN - GREEN
Today everything is about doing what we can for the enviroment. Your Wedding Day is just one day out of your life - so I would say don't go crazy. If you don't want to walk down the isle holding a potted plant try to think about ways you can do you part for the environment, but still make it YOUR special day.
Today you have a lot of great choices. Think about all of the beautiful wildflowers there are. A talented flower designer can make you a beautiful bouquet using beautiful and colorful wildflowers. There are so many choices and colors you could create many different types for you and your bridal party. You can also go with organic flowers.
Venue or Location
This is an easy one. Depending on the time of the year you have your wedding an outdoor wedding venue can be absolutely beautiful. You can have a beautiful spot in a local park or beach. Or, get married indoors, but have the reception outside. Just provide for trash and recycling areas.
Try and look for invitations that are on recycled paper. Depending on your livestyle and guest list you may want to consider e-invitations. The cost is just your design time and will not use up any natural resources.
2008 Wedding Colors
Brown is pretty much over. Black is a stable that will always be there. But, this year it seems like a dark gray background is the way to go. You can pair it with bright yellow and orange flowers. Take a look at the newest spring colors and use those. Jewel tones and bright colors are big. From bright yellow, to beautiful ruby red or emerald green. These colors can make a spectacular showing whether your venue is indoors or out. The House of Brides wedding store has an unbelievable selection for Your Wedding.
